I just had to try out the new fancy copper kits PSI have offered up. I actually get PSI stuff from here: http://www.WoodTurningz.com to save a few pennies. I had not turned any pens since the holidays last year, time for some more.
The copper kits are nice I think. The hardware should always complement the wood as best it can. Copper is another look and feel for your palette.
This one is a mesquite pencil. I thought it would look nice and it's a native wood here in Arizona, the copper state.

I've been turning only small things lately. The heat here has been, well, hot. When they issue an extreme heat warning for Phx, they're not joking around, it's going to be hot. My "big lathe" in the the garage/shop.
The good news. I just got a 10k BTU A/C unit in my "little shop", an insulated 8'x12' tuff shed. At it's lowest setting and fan speed, I'm cool as a cucumber as long as the cucumber fits on my Jet mini lathe.
Thanks for looking,
Bill
