    Sycamore Bowl

I've just turned this bowl in Sycamore. It's 305mm (12") diameter and 100mm (4") tall. Cellulose sanding sealer, followed by wax.

The rim is undercut, although the photograph doesn't show the extent of this too well. Some nice grain, but quite a few blemishes in the wood as well - not enough to be considered spalting, just enough to attract the eye, but not distinctive enough to be thought of as "character!"

I think this one is heading for the back of a shelf somewhere.

    Ray.

I like that grain! And it sure looks good to me.
