I know I haven't posted in a while, been very busy and haven't seen the shop. Today I had some time alone with my son in the shop. He is 10 yrs old and loves to watch dad make saw dust. Since overprotective mom was at dance with the daughter we decided it was time to play. Jori made his first pen on the lathe with some coaching from Dad.

Dad got a chance to make a pen also. Dad's is the walnut and my sons first pen is the maple with walnut celtic knot. I told hime he could choose any blank on the bench, I think he did a nice job with it.

That is what it's all about Bruce. Great job on both projects.

Looks like he's hooked, for sure. Best make sure he washes up good before Mom gets home...Somehow he got stain splatters all over his face!

You both did great work on the pens! It also looks like you've got a great shop partner too.

A friend in need is a friend indeed,
                  A friend with a 2436 is better.
