pen blanks for turners - $30

found this ad this morning, i dont make many pens yet but hope to eventually.
this looked like a nice variety pack to me,wondering what y'all penturners think? is it typical or a steal?

Two huge collections of pen blanks for turners - $30
quote:All pen blanks are in excellent condition, as shown in the photos. These have not been sprayed to show colors. This is how the blanks actually are. They range in size from 3/4" by 5" up to 7/8" by 6". I will include some halves as bonuses in each of the two sets I am selling. There are pieces from the following in each set: Leopardwood, purpleheart, bloodwood, curly maple, spalteds, satinwood, and other species. Each of the two sets is guaranteed to have a minimum of 125 blanks, but they will have several more. (I stopped counting at 125 when I was dividing up the blanks). Two sets are available.
    $30 PER SET

That sounds like a great deal. If you are not going to buy one, could you send me a link so I can?

It may be a good deal but I would think for it to be a steal it would depend on how many of those listed are included and what the other species are.

I'd jump on it ... less than $.25 each when about the best deal you can find is $.95 on common wood. Have a link?

well he wrote back and said those 2 sets will be sold tonight
but would see what is left that he wouldnt need

later i got a mail that he dug up enough for another batch. 160 pieces of the same, mostly all exotics im told (though there looks to be alot of common/straight-grain in the lower right?not that i care, this would take me forever to cut up) plus 2-dozen 1"x12" of something.
hes adding an extra $5 for the big ones (lol) so $35. i will ask if theres any more but he's not a dealer just another guy that got overzelous with a new hobby :-P
heres what i'll pick up this week.
