    My Second Acrylic Turning

This is a Polaris pen from PSI done in a bronze and black blank that I picked up at Woodcraft.

I'm really liking the looks of that acrylic Dick... how long is it taking you to finish one? Seems like there is a little extra finishing to go along with it.

I don't watch the clock when I am in the shop but I would guess it takes twice as long to do the acrylic as it would to do the same in wood.

Great looking pen, Dick. Watch out though. Screwing around with plastics can be a slippery slope. Don't wind up like me where I rank even working with a 2x4 as woodworking now. I just get to do precious little of it.
Next thing you know, you guys will be turning pens out of orphaned socks or something. [8D] Y'all certainly amazed me with all these wonderful looking pens.

Great pen Dick. I like doing acrylics too. Lots of "birds nest" shavings huh?

One of my favorite daily use pens is a Blue European with silver hardware.

Acrylics are great for winestoppers too.
