    Mahogany Bowl

Here is some mahogany that was given to me by a new neighbor that just retired from the navy and has been carrying it around since getting it from the Philippines where is was stationed.

It is 6" x 3" x 3/16" thick and is finished by using the beall buffing system. I have enough to make maybe 4 more this size.

    Thanks for looking

Now thats a keeper,,, I like what you did to the bottom of it. And the shine is almost blinding. Good work Dick.

Seems like your photo shooting skills are improving as well. Picture comes through very nicely.

Must be nice to have neighbors like that. Is one of the bowls going to be for them?

            Thank you for the comments.

Bob, yes he will be getting at least one bowl and maybe a bottle stopped from some of the cuttings. This wood sure turns nice.

            Thanks again.

Really nice. Hope you plan to give him one back. I really need to quit stumbling around my lathe and learn to use it. [B)] Pat
