    It's not a pen or a stopper It's a ?

A recent article in Woodcraft Magazine had an article on turning baseball bats and got me interested. Last nighht on PBS Scott Phillips show was on turning bats, again it spiked my interest.
I decided to do somethging a little different as I didn't want to add the bed extension to my Jet mini.
It seems litke the prefered bat is either ash or maple. Since I had neithr and my bat would never hit a ball here is what I came up with.
The bat is roughly 1/4 scale and turned out of Bocote.
    Total length is 7 3/4".

That looks great Dick. I could have used one just that size today. I went Salmon fishing (wohoo!) but I forgot my fish club. It was pretty amusing trying to conk my salmon on the head with a large hook remover!
