A Slim Line Pen Variation Today

This is turned from Olive Wood with an Ebony finial and finished with Myland's sanding sealer and Hut's crystal coat.
Two views of the same pen.

Another winner Dick. Have you used MyLand's Friction Polish? If so - how does the HUT FP compare?

Ken
I am new at turning finials but here is how I do it.
I start with a pen blank, in this case, between centers. I then round it and size one end to fit the hole it will go into.
It is now rough turned and ready for parting off.
Installed in the collet chuck for final turning and finishing.
The finished Ebony finial. This one is 1/2" tall.

I use both Hut and Mylands. I like them both and don't realy have a favorite. I think that the Hut may give a little softer looking finish.
