LOML gave me shop time today

I finished the turning tool rack that I started 2 weeks ago. Nothing fancy but it will beat the way I have been storing them. I used some scrap poplar, mahogany and sch 40 PVC finished with satin wipe on poly.

I had to try out my new collet chuck so I turned this Euro olive wood pen. Love the chuck.

I will not buy a lathe. I will not buy a lathe. I will not buy a lathe.

I wonder how much they are in Oz?

About $549 at Carbatec, though the little Vicmarc bears examining.[]

Give in and get a lathe, you know that you need one.

Also worth looking at the Nova, as it is relatively cheaper in Oz and NZ. Kiwis make a very very nice lathe - Get Woodworking reps them in Melbourne, others elswhere in Victoria http://www.teknatool.com/distributors/vicd.htm.

Very easy to blow A$1000 - many cool doodads and accessories for turning.

                    Ain't them Vicmarcs made there?
I have never turned anything othere than a slimline. Looks like I need to try some different styles!

Ottawa, Ontario - most of what I know about WW in Oz is from afriend who works at Lee Valley, handled a huge order shipment for a forum group in the spring.

For a minute there I thought there was a "hidden" Oz BT3'er
