I got to practice making some pens this afternoon. I thought I would screw up a lot but I only screwed up one set of blocks ( and that was cutting them ) I will probably have pens running out of my ears now. This was some scrap I usually throw away.

Got to practice today..

Told you, Ken! Now you have to decide what you're going to give up so you can buy all the pen making stuff.
The fit and finish on all of them looks good, especially the purpleheart, it's the devil to turn.

Say Ken, looks like the second one from the left needs poked with a needle

Now is when your troubles REALLY begin! You will not be able to throw out even the smallest scraps of wood

Very nice days work Ken.
You are not realy hooked untill you start sneaking out to the shop to turn a couple after the wife goes to bed.

neat looking designs, you wont even want to throw out the scraps from making pens either. I wind up using them to turn center rings.
