I should get my head examined, but I just stumbled across an AP-10 Ryobi planer and I'm going to try and get it functional again after what appears to be a good long layoff. There are a couple of (really old) threads covering this machine and I'm having EXACTLY the same issues as the contributors were having back then: I don't have the cutting blade set gauge. There are suggestions for where to buy this gauge, but let's just say that the Amazon link is so old that if you try and pull it up, there's a picture of a set of headphones. Really.
I'm going to try and use the suggestion for using a dial caliper, but if anyone still has one of these items left, stuck in the back of a drawer perhaps, I'm in the market. Coming up with new blades seems possible still, so fingers crossed.
