Stayed home today to have UPS deliver my new 30" Flatmaster drum sander. Have almost finished installing the motor and dialing it all in. While I know it is not a thicknessing sander, with the amount of stuff I have planned when I retire, it will come in handy. I really like the fact I can install 3 different grits and finish a side real quick.

Years ago, I asked about that, and someone from their company said while it isn't a traditional thickness sander, it can be done. The fences they use for wheels, use two fences (can be homemade) the same size as your finished board and effectively a planner sled, upside down, across it.
I am curious if you bought the complete sander or the kit?She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice. -
I bought the complete sander but some assembly is required. You have to install the motor (yours) and them adjust everything.Measure twice, cut once, screw it up, start overComment
