    New Router Table...

My neighbor had set out for trash two cabinet bases, so I went Dumpster diving and brought them home. They are now home to this...

This is the Incra 24x36" top and the 17" LS positioner. It should match nicely with my Triton Router.

I have to affix the table top to the cabinets (but a trip to the hardware store is needed first), install and wire a switch for the router, and it should be ready for use.

The LS positioner was easy to attach to the incra table. The mounting holes are predrilled, so it was a matter of putting the hex head screws in and sliding the base on. I had everything shown put together in a little less than an hour.

I'll do a more extensive "review" after I've had a chance to use it for actual routing. But my initial impressions are very favorable.

The thing is rock solid. There is no play whatsoever in the LS system. The action is smooth, and when it locks in, it does so tightly. Incra's instructions for installation are clear and easy to follow. Mine required no adjustment whatsoever.

The "wonderfence" is also pretty impressive, though I haven't yet put the vertical pieces on it. I opted for this, because I can do some basic edge jointing of boards, and with the space I have, I don't have room for a jointer. I will try this and give my impressions as well.

This was more "spendy" for me than anything else I've ever purchased. I spent more on the positioner alone than I did for the router I will use with it. I purchased it from incrementaltools.com which is Incra's direct sales partner. They had a better price than amazon or anywhere else. They shipped it very quickly.

You are gonna love that LS system and the Wonder Fence ... I set it up last year and smile every time I use it.

I haven't BEGUN to figure out all of it's bells and whistles with the templates and guide but as just a plain fence and dust collection basic it's great!

Shopping at the dump-store.. Nice setup and you wont have to waste time making a router cab.

      Enjoy!

That Incra system has amazing value, and your ROI on it will be tremendous.

Great idea reusing a cabinet base. That thing looks solid too.

What router will you be using in it? You have the capacity to do some serious routing now.

My router is a Triton 3 1/4 HP Plunge Router.

I've used the router mostly for some hand held type things, but it is also very nice.

I was hoping to try my hand at some box joints this weekend, but was busy doing other things (building a face frame for a cabinet, and building another cabinet carcass).

All in good time. Life is a marathon, not a sprint.
