    Quickwood, anyone?

All this time, I'd not heard of Quickwood, but when I read an article yesterday in Family Handyman speak of it as a miracle worker, I was impressed (found the video here).

Per the article, it's a two-part epoxy, comes in three colors (neutral, pine, dark) and is usable generally to fix any breaks or chips where other methods would not work, is stronger than wood, and even takes stains and paint. I have a couple of such repairs to make that I need something like this for.

Interestingly it's only sold by Woodcraft, but has good reviews. I gotta get one and try it out.

Anybody try this? Or is this old news for y'all?

edit: Looks like HD sells a similar Kwikwood from JB Weld, that's got great reviews too.

There have been times when I needed that. I may have to get some for my daughters and their tables.

There are a few products like that. JB Weld makes KwikWood, and there's the Billy Mayes plugged Mighty Putty Wood.

Basically the same as plumber's epoxy or other putty epoxys, but lighter in color.

The grain texturing and painting that they show is definitely cool. I'd never have thought of that.
