    Jack hammer recommendation

I'm busting out the sewer lines and under-slab plumbing for a remodel. Part of the project will be taking about a 30ft trench to relocate the laundry - the sledge got old real fast.

Rental is an option but, but this is going in phases so multiple rentals will be required, and there are plenty of other uses for a breaker around the property. I've been looking at the mid-size HF breaker. It has some pretty good reviews - I don't need a brute or AVT.

I've seen others in the <$300 on ebay, does anyone have a recommendation?

Be sure to keep an eye on Craigslist too. One of those tools that gets bought and resold on a semi-regular basis in the Chicago area (small cement mixers being another). I've never used one, but from what i've seen on film and in person, it's one of those tools where having a belly might be helpful.

Thankfully, you live far enough away that i can't offer to help!!

Just a suggestion. If you have a compressor that can support an air impact hammer like this, they work pretty good. I've used one similar to break apart a concrete walk area.

This one's cheaper, even with shipping. Also, no tax.

I have the Bosch Rotary Hammer, and it does quite well taking up concrete. I've used it myself to open up floors to do the plumbing in my brother's house.

That's exactly what I think I'll order if no one has a better suggestion ,etoolcity has some good deals and the reviews seem good more than bad...I picked up a Bosch bulldog extreme on clearance at HD a while back - it's great for making holes to smash out bigger with a sledge, but not for larger removal. Unfortunately my compressor cant' drive the higher CFM tools.
