    New Nailers

Hey All...i've been looking at pneumatic nailers for a few months and was having trouble justifying the money. Nearly bought a refurb Bostitch kit more than once, but could never quite "pull the trigger" on it (pun fully intended!!).

Had to drive to St Louis last Thursday so when i saw that Sears outlet had their magnesium bodied kit about 10 miles off my path (90 miles from home, but since i was already driving right past...y'all know how to justify stuff). It was listed as a reconditioned kit with no further info, but i know that if you buy those items online and change your mind at the store they'll refund the purchase. And...their recon stuff gets the same warranty as new, which is nicer than most.

So...at $91.93 for the 16 ga finish, 18 ga brad, and stapler, and i'd liked the feel the few times i'd seen them in stores before, so i bought it.

Went to the pick-up area--the box was slightly beat up but still sealed. Contents were absolutely intact, factory packed. I questioned the refurb and the clerk said he thought somebody had returned it after learning they needed an air compressor to use them, so they had been marked down to clear them.

"Listed" retail at $219.99, available "new" at about $165, i'm thinking that $92 was an okay deal. Should be able to finally get to try them out tomorrow night--wish i'd have had them last winter when i redid all the baseboard in the house!!
