    Compressor Cable Operated Drain Valve

It may be old info to you, but it was new to me.

I installed a simple $8.00 cable operated drain valve today to drain the water from my HF 23gal compressor. Easy install. Seems to be holding air. Takes up about the same space as the old thumbscrew drain valve. A tug on the lanyard attached to the valve blasts water out of the compresser each time I shut it off. No more excuses.

I like the cable operated valve better than the "street elbow + pipe + ball valve" drain that is often suggested.

Slick, easy, cheap way to get rid of the condensation in the tank. I'm notorious for not doing it as often as I should.

Another add on would be to attach flexible vinyl or PVC clear tubing to the fitting, and lead it to the outside or a container. Blasting the moisture will throw it everywhere.
