Was it wrong of me to lust over those clamps? Those things are nice!

Nothing wrong with that. I love my pair. They really excel when used with the MFT. Their clamping elements are also real nice.

Thanks jussi, great link. Those seem like better methods than I've used in the past.

Found it, one of the many cool Festool products not available here :-( (not that I could afford them):

              Edit: found the english page:

It's from Festool but I'm prettry sure it's not available in north america. You'll have to go to Europe to get it.

Very cool. I'll write off the trip as a business expense.

Now I know what I will buy when I hit the powerball.

I wonder if that router really is that muted, or if the volume was turned down in the video.

Any idea how he managed the speed of feed, and not drop the dowel too fast onto the spinning bit? I am guessing the size of the upper hole holds the dowel tight?

I liked the router, especially the one wrench operation. I'm guessing that's a Festool as well though.

Tough to spend as much on a router as I did my bandsaw, jointer and table saw.

I think you're right. Plus the holes would probably have to be pretty tight to the stock to get a uniform size tenon.

Yah it looks like the OF2200. I wish they incorporated that feature in their smaller 1010. It's the only thing missing imo.
