    bad switch

My delta 36-675 contractor table saw stays on even when the toggle switch is in the off position. I took out the switch today, and there are 4 leads, 2 for hot, and 2 for neutral. I verified with a meter that when the switch is in the off position, the hot contacts are shorted, while the neutral contacts are still open.

If the neutral contacts are open in the off position, why does the saw still continue to run after I flip the switch? I checked Delta's website, and a replacement switch cost $20, plus another $10 for shipping. Are there cheaper alternatives?

    Thanks

I'm guessing current is flowing back through the ground wire.
