    a minor table saw modification

it seems no matter how clean or well lubricated i make the innards of my TSs, the bevel hand wheel, regardless of any stops, was hard to turn when approaching 45*. with the relocation of the bevel hand wheel to the front of one of those saws, i added a lever of sorts to the bevel hand wheel. this, combined with the right angle drive that is the heart of the relocated bevel hand wheel, makes for greatly reduced effort when changing the saw's bevel angle. it also removed whatever "lash" or looseness that was felt in the beveling linkage. pic 1 is with the dogleg handle in the operating position. pic 2 is how the handle could be made to clear the table top should the desired angle result in the handle coming to rest above the front fence rail. placing a wixey on the blade and rotating the larger handle slowly and smoothly allows for angles to be dialed in with very little back and forth fussing.
