Bought my BT3100 a little before joining here. I love the saw and use it for everything.

Bought my BT3000 many years ago when they were selling for about $400.00. It is still going strong. I enjoy wheeling it outside of my garage on a nice summer day

          • BT3000 orig 13amp model

Mine is one of the original 13 amp versions, original owner (actually it was a gift), still going strong. Original motor, original handle, too. I've added a full set of rails, my own tabletop on the extended rails for a router, and a second accessory table that also houses a router... for those times when I want two bits/setups and don't want to adjust them between cuts.

I don't have any other table saws - the BT3000 is it. I use the Freud 8" dado set too; I filed a bit of the BT3's aluminum arbor support stuff to make it fit; my 13 amp motor seems to do just fine with the larger diameter though a 6" set would have been sufficient. I also have a regular chopsaw (not a slider) but it's more trouble than it's worth to set up in my garage; the BT3 is enough. I've made my own infeed and outfeed extensions for long/heavy workpieces.

I do have a radial arm saw now, a recent addition. Gotta find room for it in the garage/shop though; it's actually inside the house at the moment.

I bought my 13 amp bt3000 in 1992, still going strong with new belts in 2001, about time for a new set. I use the 6" dado set. I spent the day cleaning, lubing and adjusting everything. All set to go

Still using the C-man version and still working strong.

I must admit I would like a "bigger" saw but for the room the trade is not worth it.

                A Great saw!

Bought my BT3K, 3 or 4 years ago, on EBay. I still have the feeling that I was bidding against the owner (I "won" but paid $275 for it, including the extension table/rails). However, I've enjoyed it so much, I think it was worth every cent.

A Freud 8" dado stack works fine but the 6" stack would have been more than adequate.

The extension table doesn't get used much as I have to wheel the saw in and out of the garage but it comes in handy when needed. While I like the SMT, my next jig/fixture project will be building a mitre slot add-on.

For the future, I just hope that, as things wear out, I can find replacements.

If not for this great website, I probably wouldn't have even considered buying a used BT3K. Just think what I would have missed

                  • Ryobi BT3000

                  #23
I had the BT3K for about 5 months and loved it. I thought I had to have a Delta Contractor's saw, so I sold the Ryobi and bought a Delta. After using the Delta for a few weeks I missed the Ryobi, and at the end of it all, I picked up a Craftsman Hybrid (22124) that I absolutely love and wouldn't know what to do without.

I highly recommend the BT series though, it was a very good saw.

My 3000 is still running great. I added miter slots as I like to use a sled for most cross cuts. Absolutely no problems original motor and shims.

My 21829 is still running strong after 4 years - wouldn't expect otherwise, and it'll be my sole tablesaw until such time that it breaks and can't be repaired.
