I have my 12" Delta mitersaw mounted to a Ridgid MSUV, which means when I'm not using it, it will be on its side. Any chance that is hard on the joints (bearings)? thanks
Is it a problem to store mitersaw on side?

I've had mine setup exactly like that for years without any problems. The one thing I do do is make sure that when its being stored the swing arm is locked in the down position._________________________

Same here and our Makita is one of the most accurate tools in the shop. Dave's also right about locking down, DAMHIK.

+2. Locked down in the 0° setting would be best. It should be stored in a place where it is less likely to get bumped.
