Peachtree Jointer/Planer Setup Jigs - Worth it?

I see that peachtree has some jointer and planer setup jigs for 50% off:

Anyone know if these are good enough to use? I see the accuracy of the jointer setup jig has an accuracy of +/- .001, but I'm not sure if that's good enough for a jointer.

That jointer setup jig will be plenty accurate enough and will work very well when used correctly. On the other hand don't fool yourself into thinking that you're really getting a 50% off bargain. At their listed regular price it would make their version more expensive then most everywhere else. That style of knife setter can be purchased from any number of places for around $25 all the time.

Home Depot carries the same magnets pictured.

Veterans are people who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America, for an amount up to and including their life.

That's the same setup I use except that I used rare earth magnets instead.

You could also just use a stick.

Where's the high-tech fun in that?

Gonna change my jointer blades for the first time soon. I hear it takes the patience of Job.
