    Wet Sharpener

Does anyone have any experience with this Northern Tool Tormek clone? The price looks pretty sweet.

Except for the on/off switch, looks to be the Central Machinery model that Harbor Freight sells. Manuals contain the same illustrations, just the text rearranged. I have been quite satisfied with my HF version, but have to say I am looking forward to the Work Sharp 3000 from HD that's supposed to be coming 'real soon now'.

I have the Grizzley version. I am under the impression that HF no longer sells this machine, but I haven't looked. I am no expert but like my sharpener. The price varies with sales.

Harbor Freight no longer sells the unit, but the Grizzly version is available for around $90.00.

I've got a Scheppach Tiger that's pretty similar. It does a good job and is easy enough to use.

My buddy just picked up the Grizz model. Works great and the attachments do not cost an arm/leg. I've used it to get my chisels back to sharp; I'd get myself one except we live next door to each other and share and use what the other one does not have.

Thanks for the info, guys. I did a search before posting, but I didn't find the HF thread. Go figure.

I think I'll check out the Griz model before I pull the trigger on any of them.

Keep in mind the Grizzly model does not include some of the attachments the Northern tool model includes. Given that and the cost of shipping, the prices may be closer than they appear. I don't think you will go wrong with either purchase.
