    HF multi-function too metal blade

Quick question. Does the HF multi-function tool blade that comes with it cut metal (ie nails, screws) or do you have to buy a second, metal blade. I haven't been able to find this out online.

    Thanks.

Check out the different pictures at their website, one of them shows it sawing through a nail. Multifunction Tool

      Thanks.

My set didn't include a blade that I think would cut nails. I haven't tried yet. They do sell this accessory that they claim will cut soft metals.

They also sell a diamond edge and carbide edge attachment that might cut nails.

I would say the diamond blade would be best if you're just trying to cut nails. The blades that come with definitely won't work on nails (assuming they're note brass nails). I'd even say that the other blades would be hard pressed to cut most nails. I haven't seen a blade that will do that reliably and not be totally toasted afterwards...

By the way, the HF tool is directly compatible with Bosch blades- the pins match exactly. Not so much with Dremel blades, but you can still use them on there. So don't think you're stuck with whatever HF sells.
