    HF CenTech Non-Contact Laser Thermometer

Does anybody have any experience with this item? I am thinking of getting one because I think there's a crack somewhere in our foundation because there's a small amount of water in a small area in the basement. I figure it would be easy to trace where the water is coming from if I can track the temperature readings.

    Thanks!
    Chris

I worked for HF and never had any problems with that item. I've used it to check for a bad cylinder on diesel engines. Would depend on how much temp difference between the wall and the water.

A bit OT but what is the effective temp range of that unit? And, I didn't notice the red 'thing' protruding from the front of the unit? I didn't see it in the ad. It's currently $27.99. I wonder if I can use my 20% coupon?
