    Sears Craftsman 21829

Hello, question for anyone interested. It appears the 21829 can no longer be found on Sears site. Is it disappearing? I just tried to order one and it is on backorder in both my home town and in my current town. Checking through 10-15 stores no longer has any in stock.

I was also offered to either wait for the backorder to come in or swap with the TS3000 setup from Bosch for the same price. I locked in at $339 with coupons online. I believe that the Bosch that Sears sells is the 4100-09 with the folding wheel stand (TS3000) system? Is that correct? Getting the Bosch at that price might be worth it, no?

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

That's not good. I just ordered Monday and was waiting for my email to come pick it up. Will be calling them today and trying to figure out what's up.

Sears sometimes pulls items after a slickdeal, to stem their losses. Lack of stock in your local stores is probably for the same reason.

I haven't used the Bosch, but I would ask for a raincheck on the 21829 if that is what you want.

I wonder if the availability has anything to do with people calling in to try and get an additional $50 off from when the deal first went live.

The chat representative wasn't very helpful. He just stated my order was in processing. I'm getting anxious to get it, and I'd like to be able to give it a go this weekend.

It's also listed in the latest Craftsman Club mailer (June 4-12) advertizing $100 off at a $429 sale price.

If you search for that number, it shows up on the site.

If you order on the computers in-store, shipping is free, at least for most items. Why not do that and have it shipped to your house?

I do see it listed too, but if I try to order it or put it in my cart it is unavailable. At one point the site says there are 2 stores near me that have one in stock.

The coupons stacked online. For instance, I got it at $302 OTD. That's a good $70 off the current price.

And I had to laugh when I saw the Craftsman Club ad @ $429. That's as bad of a pricing game as Amazon.

They do have some "issues" with their web site on a regular basis. It will let me add it to the cart if I click it from the first page after the search, but will not show me the detailed description page.

Sometimes the customer service people can order it for you. I have found it best to call rather than chat. They can also order through the catalog at the same price and still deliver to the store or home.

However, the sale price is not currently active. Based on the past month or so, if you wait another week or so it may go back to the $287 price.

The website works again. Yeah, it got so bad that every time I did a search for anything it asked me to log in. I'd log in and try a search again and it asked again to log in. :-(

The site now shows that it's 14-16 days until the item is in stock rather than it's out of stock. So that's good.

How did you "stack" coupons. I only found a $10 one and tried to add another and it took my $10 one off. :-(

The stacking ended. It was a slickdeals special.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

There is a an AMEX $30 off promotion that will stack, and Sears was running a 15% off "instant discount".

They seem to run this every week or so. They may do it again.
