    Blade sharpening

Did I goof here? I asked that this blade be sharpened to a 30 degree ATB. This is the original BT3100 blade and I never did like the way it cut. I guess I didn't realize just how much 30 degrees was.

Why doesn't the word 'planing' show up in my computer spell check?

It should have lower tearout than a standard 10-20° bevel, and more than the original FTG. You've got the same bevel as the Freud Fusion and Infinity Super General... Try it!

Why would there be less tearout than a standard ATB but more than the FTG?

I didn't word that sentence too well.... C-trick moment. The steeper the bevel, the lower the tearout....sorry for the confusion.
