    New Grizzly 10" Cabinet Saw

Just saw that Grizzly has a new saw out.

Anyone have any thoughts on it?

It sells at $1350. with free shipping. With the UL mandate that all saws will have a riving knife will let the major players close out their lower priced saws, and replace them with saws selling at a higher price point.

I'm hearing generally positive comments on it. The fence has some upgrades, and of course it has a riving knife. Per Grizzly's owner, Shiraz Balolia, it's made in the same plant from the same components as the Laguna Platinum saw.

The only thing I see I don't like is that you have a choice of riving knife or blade guard. Chances are the guard is going to end up collecting dust on a shelf.

That and I can't afford one!

Yeah, I've read that it's very similar or the same as the Laguna table saw.

The guard isn't as good as what Lee does with the shark guard, which I'm an owner of, but I really like the fact that there is a riving knife on the Grizzly.

Price of $1350 with free shipping sure makes it tempting to finally step up to a cabinet saw that has wide rails.
