I think $200 is high, but I am a bit of a bottom feeder. I wait for the really good deals. Offer him $100, see what he says. The worst he can say is no, right? I picked up a Ridgid TP1300LS today for $200 with two extra sets of knives and an HTC mobile base. Not a screaming deal, but I think it is a fair price.
The 733 did not come with the dust hood, you may want to see if you can still get one for it. The reason he has an extra belt, some people had issues with them constantly breaking. I am also not sure if that model had a cutterhead lock. If it did not, that would be a deal breaker for me. I have recently turned down older Deltas with snipe issues that people were almost giving away. I knew it was something that would bother me, so I passed.

I have the DW733. It does have a head lock and mine runs almost completely snipe free. It is a serveral year old model so $200 is probably high. The belt will probably be needed soon and they came with extra knives.

Thanks, I've never used a planer and I think this would be a starter for me. I got him down to $180. Hopefully I can get a lot of use out of older technology. =) Thanks for the input.
There is a trick called the nickel alignment that works well. Lay a nickel on the inside bottom plate and adjust the infeed and outfeed tables so the tips are the same height and a straight edge across them just touches the nickle.

Funny, the guy I bought it from said the exact same thing, said that's what Dewalt recommended. Machine seems like it's in great condition...now I need some wood to plane.
