Shaper / plunge router

I have a 1957 Delta shaper I have been using to make some louvered ;mouldings and some other routing operations.I just got a bright (or not )idea that i could use my shaper as a plunge router.Am I crazy or what?Pinyonwren

As a machinist friend once said, anything is possible, but this isn't cost effective.

She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
