HF Stapler Discontinued?

Hi guys,

Never got around to buying the wide crown stapler that i was going to use to staple OSB to 2x's and when I started looking for one today, it started looking like the old 40073 is no longer with us. Is there a HF 1/2" crown stapler that shoots up to 1-1/2" or 1-3/4" staples? Or even 2"?

In lieu of that, what nailer would you use on a wood fence putting 1/2" panels onto 2x's?

The 40073, which is actually a ¼" crown stapler, is still available at the retail stores. HF has quite a few products that are available at the retail stores but not through their website. Could be that this is one of those.

A quick search at the HF website didn't turn up a ½" stapler that will shoot staples the lengths you're looking for. The #97572, which is available through their website, will only shoot up the 5/8" long staples.

Leave to you, swede, to know where I messed up! You are right, the 40073 is the 1/4" crown. But that 1/2" used to be more common. I'll go stop in the store and see what I can find, but I'd sure like to find something. I checked locally at a Lowe's and they have a 7/16" crown Senco, but they want $229 for it. I don't think they'll like my offer of take off the first two and Sold!

A 1/4" crown staple works pretty good.
