I have a DW733 as well. Blade changes are easy. Snipe is minimal if tables are setup properly. I had the breaker kit out once and fail. Since they used a standard breaker, I had one at work (it broke on a Sunday) and replaced it, which was a little interesting but do-able. As Tom mentioned, metal/stone in the wood is unforgiving with these blades or any other steel blades, so it's not like a carbide tipped saw blade - check the wood prior to planing. Fortunately you can shift one of the blades to compensate for a nick and you don't have to resharpen every time. I'd say the dust shoot is a must have as is a reasonable dust collector. And keep the tables clean and slippery. I think it weighs about 65 pounds so for me and my bad back just borderline portable. Overall a good machine though.

Thanks for the input guys. I ended up passing on the DW733 due to overall cost and the age of it. Even though it's supposedly new, it's been discontinued for sometime now, and I didn't think $340 to my door was an overly attractive price on a unit that old.

I ended up ordering a refurbed Ridgid 4330 for $285 shipped after MS Cashback....newer model, lower price, a few newer features. Now I'll have to see if I like the Ridgid better than my 22-580 to decide which to keep.
Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.
