    Rigid R4511 Hybrid Table Saw

I got my first hands-on look at the new Rigid hybrid saw yesterday in our local BORG. Considering the price, it looks like a good deal. The main things I didn't like were the lack of a sliding miter table and a rather weak splitter/riving knife/blade guard assembly. The latter could be cured by installing one of Lee's Shark Guard assemblies, but adding the Jessem SMT would cost as much as the basic saw. The rip fence and granite top look just like those on the Steel City saws. Of course, I didn't have the opportunity to cut anything on it. Guess we won't get a review on that until one of us buys one.

For a $600 saw, this is what has impressed me:

Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.
