Pulled the trigger on a Jet 1220vs

Well, I finally decided to buy a 1220vs, our Rockler had a 10% off tool weekend, and the Jet rep there filled me in on their current promos. I bought the lathe for 490.49$, and then also bought a jig for my Jet sharpener so that I would break the 500$ mark, which qualified me for 2 free 50" Jet parallel clamps. Not too shabby!

I look forward to it arriving, as they have never had one in the store, I'm hoping that the switch isn't TOO much of an issue for it. 2-3 weeks until I get it, unless there is an unexpected hang up.

Thanks for all the advise on it gang!

    Very Cool

I am sure you will enjoy the new lathe. Turning is a slippery slope!

Keep your receipt, or at least make sure Rockler has you on file (although I don't trust their bookkeeping). If you need a replacement switch during the warranty period, Jet will make you provide proof of purchase. They didn't used to, because of so many problems with the switch, but I think they're convinced people were just taking advantage of their generosity to get an out-of-warranty switch for free.

UC, Yeah, I should get a duplicate print of the receipt, and file it. I have to send one in for the clamps too. I've done classes and such at the local rockler, they're pretty good about such things, but thanks for that suggestion, I'll do it this week.
