Jointer knives - Thin wrench

I need to replace my jointer blades soon and I need a thin wrench to loosen the nuts. I got the jointer used and it didn't come with one. It's a Ridgid (gray version) 6". I suppose I could order straight from Ridgid but was wondering if I could just make one or buy one locally.

Look at ignition wrenches. They are thinner than standard open end wrenches. I use one for the knives on my Rockwell 8".

Ignition wrenches are a good bet. You could also get a cheap standard thickness wrench and grind it down, but be careful not to overheat it when you grind, or it won't hold up for long.

I had a jointer that I bought used and picked up a good Craftsman wrench of the right size and ground it down so it would just fit. After looking at what would happen if I rouned one of those bolts off, I went for the maximum straight and sruface area I could muster. I also kept that wrench in a special place......the fellow I sold the jointer to also has that wrench in a special place to this day and is very happy he has it.
