Seeking darkside suggestions

I had decided to move to the darkside and pick up one of the clearance Ridgid TS3660's, but apparently I made that decision about two days too late. I can't find a TS3650/3660 anywhere in my area (B'ham AL). Is there anything else around $400 that would be worth upgrading to from the BT3100? My guess is probably not, unless I find something nice used, which is also rare around here. Thanks.

Better saw than a BT3100 for $400? I would think that puts you into looking for something used or a special sale. Lots of darksiders out there in that price range. Which one, well could ask for opinions on that.

my son has the ts3660 and I like the BT3000 better, for me I would have to go to a unisaw or similar and then cuss because i have to make a miter table to be as good as the bt3000. the ts3660 with a normal blade doesn't appear to have much more power then my BT with a thin kerf. There is a little difference when running a 3/4" dado over 1/2" deep though.

If you fancy a trip to Phoenix at least 3 of my local HDs still have them.

Montgomery should still have some. I just picked one up last week, and I think between the two HD stores here they had 3 or 4 left.
