I wouldn't offer more than $300.00 since it is missing the right extension wing, has only a 2 HP motor and has a very old fence system that leaves a lot to be desired. A new fence and wing would cost at least $200, probably more. If you are looking to upgrade to a cast iron saw, you might want to check out the Ridgid TS360/3660 that HD is clearing out for $399. It won't have the mass of that unisaw, but you won't have to do any upgrading to it either.

I think that might be a fair price. I bet it will sell quickly.

Looks kinda like a bullet motor (repulsion-induction)? Those are supposedly nice because of the power curve. I don't know how much the difference between a conventional induction motor and RI motor have been exaggerated, but If I were in the market for a cabinet saw I'd take a serious look at this unit.

If the seller thinks that saw is in perfect condition then I'd give it a very good going over before I'd even make an offer. Someone will probably over pay for this saw but $200-$250 tops for me considering all the work you would have to do to clean it up.

I'm not a big fan of craigslist. Anything offered for sale there would have to be a smoking great deal or almost in NIB condition before I'd take a gamble on buying it.

If it wasn't on the always wrong coast I would grab it.

$250 tops cause you will spend twice that getting it in real working order. New right side table, new fence (think Bies), miter gauge and one heck of a lot of elbow grease. Better give it a good once over before buying, check bearings, motor, pulleys, et al.

The real drawback is the missing table portion but that could be handled if you are going to build a saw center out of it. the other thing is that those older motors where also typically 1.15 or 1.25 SF (service factor) which means they could deliver 115% to 125% of rated HP without any problem. A 1.25 SF 2 HP would equal any 2.5 hp motor used on current saws. A full set of bearings for the motor and the arbor would be under $100.00 using Timken bearings. if you have the ability to install them. Adding the fence would cost between 150 + depending on which fence system you used. Grizzly's shop fox fence is an excellent fence.

I have bought 1/2 my shop from Graigslist and always test the tool prior to buying to check for any major problems but I can also fix most anything if there is a problem and just make my offer appropriately. So for about 600 max you would have a saw that you would have to spend well over 1000.00 to even come close to.

I wouldn't hesitate to pay $350 if it runs well and is good condition.
