    Old Mortise Machine

O.K. Guys I,m stumped and don,t know how to link it. On the Atlanta Craigslist if you type Router Table in the search bracket once your in the tools section a guy has what he calls a paper punch for sale for $35.00. I just got off the phone with him and he says it will accept a 1/4 inch shaft. I,m curious if anyone can help me identify this machine. He says he will call back later with any I.D. marks so maybe I can look it up. But I,m thinking it might could be a cheap decdicated mortising machine if I can get a chuck for larger bits? Any ideas or help would be appteciated. I already bought it.

It's probably a paper drill, something like this
http://www.hung-tak.com/catalog/images/Lihit-1013.jpg Basically a drill press for doing a ream of paper at a time.

I doubt it would be heavy enough to cut mortices.

Clean it up and ask around the smaller print shops if they would like to buy a paper drill. $250 wouldn't be unreasonable and then go to Harbor Freight and buy the mortising machine and some other goodies.
