I have not found the correct bag thickness, as after giving the space bags a try and then using the roarockit kit, I just decided to buy a freaking vac press so that I wouldn't be frustrated again by a blown veneer application.
The one I got is the compact 100 from vac u press, and was about 330$. I'm sure I could have done the joe woodworker thing and gotten a cheaper setup, but I was pretty frustrated and done with playing around.
