Did I damage my router bit?

I was running some test pieces for my rail and stile bits. I was using some scrap from my scrap bin and did not know that one of the pieces had a 15 guage finish nail in it. I heard a thump and saw some sparks and knew what had happened. It looks like I cut through about half of the nail. I can't see any damage and the bit seems to cut fine. How can I know if I damamged the bit or if I dulled it? It is a Bosch stile bit.

If it is not chipped it is likely not damaged. Carbide is far harder than nails.

Do a test pass to see if there are any irregularities to the profile. When you shut off the router, watch the bit closely as it spins to a dead stop to see if there is any wobble. Turning very slowly may reveal a wobble, which may be in the bit or the router. If you have doubts you could take it to a repair shop for their opinion.
