    Catch Bag Under Contractor Saw

I am still in the process of setting up my table saw and would like to put the catch bag from my other saw under it.It is open now and this worked well on my other saw.My only concern is that it would hold the dust around the trunnions and gum things up easier.
I can fab a catch pan at work and the use shop vac to clean the pan also.
This wouldnt keep the dust closed in under the saw.
Anyone have experience with the catch bag under a Delta contactor saw?

I could try to fab a dc hook up but I dont think my shop vac would have enough volume to move the dust.
I think therefore I .....awwww where is that remote.

What I've seen done with those is the legs are removed and a box is made in place of the legs (actually this will also let you change the height). The box is open at the top and front. Make a slide out drawer, which is actually just another box fits fairly snug inside and is almost full size inside the opening. No need for drawer slides. When it fills, it is just slid out and dumped.

An option to the pull out is to make a removable front (for cleaning) and cut a hose hook-up to your DC or shop vac, in a convenient place on the side or rear. Being enclosed other than the top evacuates the box.

Nice rig. I've got the newer version (36-979) and the 30" Bies fence somewhere in my shop, buried under a bunch of junk that has accumulated in the past several years. I've been trying to get the shop cleaned up for about a year now. Last night was the first time I've been in there to do any work in about 6 months.

One of our forum members did this writeup a while back when evaluating your saw. It's an additional dust collector setup that I may see if I can get to work on mine: http://www.newwoodworker.com/jetdust.html Hope it helps you.

            Thanks for the replies.
I had thought of both approaches.I will mark the article for reference when I get a dc setup.
Ive seen the setup your talking about cman but I really want to keep the frame underneath the saw the way it is setup for now.I can take the saw of the cart in about 5 min if I need to use it elsewhere.
Once I add on to my shop I think the more permanant solution will work better for me and be the way I go.I have it my garage until then.
I guess I shouldve posted that.
