My new Leigh Super 18 arrived last week and I spent saturday assembling and setting it up.

The jig is very easy to use and the VRS works really well, hardly and dust or debris. I cut my first through dovetails and finger joints here they are.

Looks great! I've been eying that jig, too. Sounds like you're pretty happy with it then, right?

Why didn't you assemble both of these joints at the same time for the photo?

Now that would be a great trick - would you like to show me how

So far I am very happy with it. I havent had a chance to try the blind or sliding DTs yet but I am sure they will be as easy as these two tests.

The through DT needed one minor adjustment to get a perfect fit, easily achived following the excellent Leigh instructions. The finger joints were perfect straight off the jig just as you see in the photo.
