What/who do you use to get your blades sharpened? I've got my original from my BT3100 and a couple of circular saw blades that could use a touch-up.

I use a local service. Unfortunately, the elder gentleman is getting up in years and the last blade wasn't up to par. They used to be ground sharper and he cleaned them as well. It went this way with my favorite chainsaw repairman. Aging is a difficult thing. I just hope that I know when to give up on certain things when the time comes but, from observation, it's not the pattern. I did tell my kids that when I started smelling like an old guy that they were to be blunt.

Call your local Woodcraft or Rockler. One or both of them might be a drop off point for a local sharpening service. If they're not, I'm sure they could recommend someone locally that does good work._________________________

Forrest offers a sharpening service and they dont have to be their blades.

I sent my Ryobi blade (OEM Freud) to Forrest and instead of a FTG they put a slight ATB on it. Kinda weird. I was disappointed because it is the only FTG blade I have and sometimes you need a FTG.
Next time I'm gonna try Scott Whittig (sp?). He frequents sawmillcreek and woodnet and has a pretty good rating by users there.
He has answered questions on the forums and so I figure he is next in line. He is also much cheaper than Forrest.Comment
