sharpening carpenters pencils

The doodad has two sharpening sides; one double cuts at an angle the long way on the pencil; the other the short way. It was pretty cheap - I think less than $4.

Found this little doodad at my local hardware store:

Works very well, puts a nice sharp chisel point on the pencil.

If it's critical, I use a utility knife.

very cool, will have to try and find one.

You can get the Keson sharpener at Lee Valley. I picked one up a long time ago at a flea market. It does a great job.
