a long time a go, i had been looking for a router speed settings wrt bit diameter and wood types.

i have found that picture. i knew i had seen it here, since this is the only site that i spend 99.9% of my time on. this picture is on ray's site in an artilce that he has put togather titled "router - some beginners' tips".

Good idea, thanks for posting. Now if I could only calibrate the actual speed of the router under load for each size bit. Adjusting the variable speed control knob is not the most accurate, and not necessary a guarantee of correct speed. It's mostly guesswork for me, but for now it works fine.
