band saw blade sizes, printed # = actual length?

just bought a olson bandsaw blade that was 82" marked on the box. tried to fit it into the bandsaw and couldnt. so i measured it and it is 80.25"!

question is: are the sizes on the box suppose to measure up to the actual lenght?

Your saw takes an 82" blade, you purchased a blade that was supposed to be 82" long according to the package. It wasn't! Raise holy hellabalu.
