How is the dust collection on this unit?

Considering you can pick-up a reconditioned unit with a warranty for around the same money I wouldn't consider it a good deal. On the other hand, the seller may be willing to negotiate some.

There is some truth in what you say, however once I start adding escalating shipping charges and tax (which all reputable suppliers are obligated to charge now) at nearly 9%, I am almost at the price of a new unit. I guess I will see if it is as lightly used as the seller says.

Well I bought it. Inspected the knives and the belt, ran a piece of clear cedar through it, and bought it for $250. The knives were the hanging point, they cost $50 new, but they were in good condition and cut well.

I believe the knives are reversible too. Yours might not have been flipped yet.

The unit was very clean. I did not remove the knives to see if the other edge was used, however, I did look at the screws to look for marks left by removal and they were not evident. I haven't had a chance to disassemble the unit to check since I got the unit home.

Nice unit now you can make even more dust!!!

Setup and ebay notification email and watch out for blades on there, thats what I have done with my Ridgid TP1300. SOme guys will overbid but if you watch out for the lower priced auctions or buy it nows then you should be able to get blades for much less than $50.

I have no idea who this seller is but just as an example.
