    Bandsaw gloat

My had has an older 14 inch Rockwell bandsaw that hasn't been tunred on in probably 10 years. He is trying to make more room in his shop and he said I could have it until he ever needs it again. Since He has not used it in at least 10 years, I doubt he will need it anytime soon. It is a very nice saw - heavy and built like a tank. I just need a good blade for it now. Any recomendations?

I found this by doing a search using bandsaw blades as the search criteria.

It'll probably wotk out like the throw away rule. If you haven't used it in 10 years and then you toss it out a use will come up two weeks later.

At least that's how it works for me...

        Nice score though!

Mr. Iturra doen't have a website so you have to call him at 1-888-722-7078. BTW, his catalog reads like a book and is worth requesting. While you have him on the phone just ask him your questions. I did just that and ended up buying before I even had the catalog. He's quite informative and glad to help as well as share his knowledge without being the least bit pretentious.
          Blessings,
          Chiz

BC Saw also comes highly recommended.

However, it's also important that you learn how to properly tune the saw. No blade is going to work well on a saw that's badly set up.

I put in another vote for Iturra. Give him a call and he will provide lots of advise and great blades.
