    It's Here!

UPS truck just drove up the drive and sure enough, its here! Told everyone week before last about winning a LEIGH Super 12' dovetail jig. Soon as I finish this its out to the shop with the (rather large) instruction book. Look out world, your'e gonna get dovetailed!

With such a great jig we are expecting to see pics of some perfect dovetails before the day is out.

    Have fun

Well after reading the manual and finally getting the router set up (a little more complicated than usual since LEIGH has developed a new adjustable guide system) I decided that there will NOT be any pictures today; probably not tomorrow either. This will be a great addition to the shop but its going to take a pretty steep learning curve before I feel comfortable with it. Not only "thru" dovetails but half-blind, one pass half-blind, box joints as well as sliding dovetails. Lots to learn but it will be fun!
